WWE WrestleMania 31 (Play Button) and Raw 30.03.15 Review

WWE Presented its show of shows on March 29th and here is @RantsWrestle review of the show along with a review of the raw following WrestleMania.

Kickoff (Pre show)

To open the show was the panel of Renee Young, Bryan Saxton, Booker T and Corey Graves. Basically the next hour featured lots of video packages promoting tonight's big matches as well as lots of mentions regrading the 9.99 price tag for the wwe network. Poor old Tom Phillips was all on his lonesome in the social media lounge and urged the audience to use the hashtag #AskLita to give the former team xtreme member questions to answer for later on the show. After the first hour of the kick off show we where given some matches at long last.

WWE Tag Team Title 4 Corners Match: Cesaro and Tyson Kidd/with Natayla (Champions) Vs The New Day (Big E Langston&Kofi Kingston)/with Xavier Woods Vs Los Matadores (Diego and Fernando) Vs The Usos (Jimmy&Jey)

So this was technically wwe verison of a young bucks match as the action was non stop throughout. 10 minutes of solid action between all 7 men some were also pulling double duty as they would be involved in the andre the giant battle royal. Early on Jey who was injured for real as he was taken on the outside and was stretchered off to the back to write him out of the match and have the story of will Jimmy win the gold on his own. In the middle of the match natayla and Naomi injected themsevles into the match and did dives along with the guys. The finish saw Jey give Langston a big splash by coming off the top rope but unseen by most as Cesaro blind tagged himself in and tossed Jey over the top rope and pinned Langston for his team to pick up the win.

Winners: Cesaro&Tyson Kidd (Retain WWE Tag Team Titles).

Fun match to finally give us a rest from all those video packages and talking by the kickoff panel which dominated the first hour.

The stooges (Pat Paterson and Gerald Brisco) interacted with the new stooges (J&J Security) backstage in a nice nod to wwf attitude era. It was right into match number two for this portion of the kickoff show and every entrant got the jobbers entrance treatment as wwe was plugging something during the guys entrances.

Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Very one got the jobbers entrance for this one as they were all in the ring to begin the match. Axel mania was not running wild as he tore his shirt for the other competitors who then all picked up axel in a crowd surfing position and dumped him out of the ring. Hideo Itami got nothing of importance in this match but was allowed to shine by booting out Bo Dallas (who is back sporting a new beard). The miz and Mizdow teamed up to eliminate former miz protege Alex Riely in a spot no one cared about. The big show was dominate throughout the match eliminating all of the new day, which again elected no response from the crowd. In fact this match was littered with acts no one cared about and probably never will, sorry darren Young. Show them dumped Itami and Swagger to even less of a response, why throw away Itami "big" debut with him being eliminated by show, did show really need the rub here. In a spot that made sense and elected a reaction was when last years winner Cesaro picked up big show but unlike last year Cesero couldn't manage to eliminate show but show eliminated Cesaro. It came down to miz, Mizdow and the big show, the miz tried to get Mizdow to go after show but at long last Mizdow said no to miz (which had been bulit really well by wwe over the last few months). Miz was amazing here with his verbal undressing of Mizdow and when Mizdow turned face on miz the crowd lost it (we'll sort of due to the fact the show was in an open air stadium most of the noise escaped off into the Santa Clara air). So it came down to Mizdow and show and that was when you could see wwe hopefully getting it right and they did. Ok I'm going to get some backlash for this but I felt wwe made the right call for show to win here. Just think about what this win did for Cesaro last year (nothing), so why have Mizdow saddled with the trophey. After a few minutes of back and fourth teases to eliminate one another show eliminated Mizdow to boos for the win. As a WCW fan back in the day I found JBL saying show had never won a battle royal (he said the rumble and WcW world war 3 verison of a battle royal) quiet puzzling as show has in fact won a battle royal (world war 3 match in wcw). This wasn't the first time tonight wwe would say something so stupid when it came to wcw. Afterwards show cut his best andre the giant pose next to the trophey as the announce team talked about shows massive win, as let's face young guy show really needed the rub here.

Winner:The Big Show

What do you say it was your unusual type of battle royal were not much happened at all. Now I'm starting to think wwe made the right call to have show go over because if Mizdow won he would probably end up where Cesaro (last years winner) had ended up, going anywhere fast.

After Lita answered some questions in the social media lounge with Tom
Phillips, pat Paterson was shown hanging the IC title for the next match which would be on the main show obviously.

Main Show

LL Cool J Welcomed us to the show in a very good video package and then it was time for the national anthem which signalled the official beginning of the show.

WWE Intercontinental Title Ladder Match: Bad News Barrett (Champion) Vs Daniel Bryan Vs Luke Harper Vs Dolph Ziggler Vs Dean Ambrose Vs R-Truth Vs Stardust

Of course Daniel Bryan was out first and Cole even mentioned that we're starting WrestleMania the way ended last years show, why did they call attention to it, us bryan marks felt dissed enough without vince rubbing it in are faces. Everyone brawls inside and outside the ring and wade hits ambrose with a ladder. Harper dives out on top of everyone in a crowd pleasing visual while ambrose heads up one ladder on the outiside and drops an elbow off the top of the ladder to all the guys outside the ring. Back in the ring bryan dropkicks stardust into the ladder, the crowd got on stardust case with Cody chants throughout the match which Cody sold very well indeed. Bryan then ties Harper in the tree of woe position on the ladder and repeatable kicks Harper over and over as Harper hang upside down on the ladder. Superkick by Ziggler to bryan and then everyone tries to climb the ladder in the ring. On the outside stardust grabs his own ladder which has essentially been given a bling, bling make over. Wade then cuts off stardust and breaks a piece of the ladder off and beats stardust down with it. Back in the ring Harper does his best Terry funk whirlybird spot by knocking down serveal wrestlers with the ladder. Back in the ring in an insane looking spot happens were wade and stardust head up the giant ladder and wade super plexes stardust off the top of it. Bryan and Dolph head up the ladder nearly reaching the belt but ambrose tips them off of it sending both into the ropes (we'll sort of as Ziggler landed a bit short of the top rope and bryan just took a bump onto the mat). Ambrose climbs the ladder but in comes Harper who grabs Dean in the power Bomb position and then powerbombs Dean from the ring onto a ladder set up at ringside. Dean breaks the ladder in the process and himself more than likely. Harper climbs the ladder but Dolph is back up and he runs up the ladder and hops Onto harpers back and applies a sleeper to the big man. Ziggler whilst applying this hold goes and uses his other hand to reach for the title but eventually harpers fades and falls to the mat below along with Ziggler. Dolph is back up and runs up the ladder again but wade recovers and goes up top and nails Dolph with a bull hammer. Wade does his best young bucks superkick/bull hammer  party by nailing truth, stardust and Harper with the move. Bryan is back in and he climbs the ladder but wade and Dolph knock him off the ladder. Bryan recovers a drills wade with a running knee smash and climbs the ladder. Dolph recovers and climbs the ladder and both him and bryan meet on top of the ladder. Both men headbutt one another over and over until bryan eventually knocks Dolph off the ladder and grabs the IC title belt to win the match.

Winner: Daniel Bryan (New IC Champion)

Very good match and it was What I expected to see actually as all seven men busted there asses with big bumps and stunts which warmed the crowd up just right to start this show.

Single's Match: Randy Orton Vs Seth Rollins/with J&J Security

This was my hidden gem match of the night meaning the build may have been poor and wwe may have cooled off Orton since his Comeback with some bad booking of late but these two performers had the chance to steal the show and they did. Early on Orton took it to rollins and this lead to J&J Security interfering and Orton knocking them off the apron to the floor. Orton then took out both Mercury and noble with a draping ddt onto the padded floor. Orton was attacked from behind by rollins who throw him into the Announce table. Still on the outside Orton nailed Rollins with a powerslam and a backdrop but Rollins battles back with a spring board moonsault. Back in the ring Orton gives Rollins hangman ddt then goes for a backdrop but Rollins floats over but Orton gives Rollins an RKO. Orton gets a two count on Rollins (I was surprised wwe had let Rollins kick out of ortons signature move). Orton then hears the voices and goes for his punt kick (a move banned for a long time during wwe pg era) but in runs J&J security but they eat a pair of RKO from Orton. Rollins then recovered and run over to Orton and went to give him a curb stomp but this time Orton kicked out at two (again I was surprised but it made both men look strong kicking out of each other's signature moves). Rollins goes up top and goes for the pheonix splash (Hayabusa signature move) but Orton moves and Rollins just lands on his feet. Rollins runs back at Orton and goes for another curb stomp but Orton counters the move and catches Rollins in an RKO. This was a spectacular scene and a worthy Wrestlemania moment and also Rollins deserves a lot of respect for how high he leaped up into the air and came down in just the right position for Orton to catch him with the RKO for the win.

Winner: Randy Orton

Was a little disappointed with whom went over (who won the match ) but this would make more sense come the end of the show, so I'm going to stand by statement so far this has been match of the night.

No Disqualification Match: Triple H Vs Sting

Both men tie up to start the match and hunter hip tosses the Stinger a few times then they tie back up again. Sting knocks down hunter and few times then hunter nails sting with a knee drop but the stinger pops back up and taunts hunter and goes for the scorpion death lock. Hunter gets free and rolls to the outiside to regroup. Sting goes to the outside but hunter whips sting into the barricade, hunter rolls sting back into the ring and works over the stinger. Hunter smirks at the crowd who react accordingly by booing the game. Hunter applies a side headlock but sting fights out of it to hunter's dismay. Sting whips hunter into the corner and as sting goes for a stinger splash but hunter gets his leg up and it wipes out sting. Hunter goes up to the middle tope and flies off but sting catches him and takes him down and goes to apply the scorpion death lock. Then d generation x music hits and out runs X Pac, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn who sprint into the ring but sting fights them off and sends xpac and the outlaws to the outside. After the interference and distraction of sting he turns around and walks into a pedigee. Hunter covers sting but sting somehow kicks out at two to the amazement of hunter. Hunter goes to the outside and grabs his sledge hammer but then the nWo (oh my days) walks (slowly) out to the ring as MIchael Cole screams it's the Monday night wars come to life and this was where I knew vince McMahon was going with wcw vs wwe because he can't let go and prove he and his brand of wrestling was far superior to wcw. DX and the NWO brawl on the outside of the ring as hunter turns around and sting nails the game with a scorpion death drop for a near fall. By this point myself and the crowd were marking out big time. Sting then applies the scorpion death lock and tries to reach for his sledgehammer (still in the middle of the ring) but hogan takes it away from him. Hogan then took his first bump in years (since his match with sting at TNA Bound For Glory 2011) as XPac attacked him from behind. Meanwhile hall took a back body drop on the floor, which I thought was a little excessive by razor but he wanted to make a big impression on the grandest stage of them all and I can respect that. During this madness HBK Shawn Michaels appears in the ring and superkicks sting (at this point I was begging for either flair or goldberg to interfere). Hunter covers sting but somehow again the stinger kicked out at two. On the outside billy gets hunters sledgehammer and hands it to the game as hall grabs a baseball bat and hands it to sting. Both men circle one another as the crowd is going crazy and sting strikes first nailing trips in the ribs with the bat shot. Sting then breaks hunters sledgehammer handle in half as hunter sells it like its the end of the world or he had just woken up a sleeping giant. Sting whips hunter into the corner and gives hunter a stinger Splash and a goes for a second but during the second attempt hunter grabs his sledgehammer head and nails sting with it. Hunter then covers sting for the 1,2 and 3 as vince McMahon words come right out of JBL's mouth we won the war again (oh fuck off vince, get over it mate). Afterwards both d generation x, hunter, sting and the nWo all shook hands to cheers from the crowd.

Winner: Triple H

I would have enjoyed this match more if it wasn't for the burial of wcw on commentary (with mcmahon using JBL as his mouth piece thoughout the match but I'm sure JBL had a few jabs to throw himself because he did work for wwf during the Monday night war) but in the ring sting was made to look strong (even if it defined all logic) kicking out of the pedigee and HBK superkick and the fact I was marking out so hard (until the wcw burial comments) made this another WrestleMania moment and by this point I was well and truly ingroosed in this show.

Maria Menounos was backstage with the new wwe IC champion daniel Bryan and he talked to her about his big win form earlier on, on the show. Then a list of former prestigious ic champions walk in including Pat Paterson, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Ricky The Dragon Steamboat, Ric Flair and Bret Hart who all put over bryan with a yes chant of there own. Then it ended in the only way it could as Ron Simmons entered and uttered his immortel line "DAMN. I personally enjoyed the interactions between piper and bryan with piper saying just when you thought you have all answers bryan goes and changes the questions. As well as flair coming in and stealing the spotlight with a wooo or two and chopping steamboat (who seemed oblivious to this) in the chest.

Divas Tag Team Match: AJ Lee and Paige Vs The Bellas Nikki&Brie

The bellas attack paige early on in the corner and give paige a double team surplex for a two count. Nikki then gives paige the rack attack but the plucky Brit kicks out at two. Paige makes her comeback against the both Bellas and makes a tag to AJ. AJ comes in and nails nikki with a lou Thesz press and a tornado ddt. Nikki comes back at AJ with a fall away slam attempt but Paige cuts her off with a drop kick. AJ goes for a shining wizard but nikki Ducks it and puts AJ into the electric chair position but AJ counters that with a ddt to nikki for the nearest of falls. AJ applies the black widow but Brie comes in the break it up. Paige enters and exchanges left and rights and she tosses Brie to the outside while nikki recovers and gives AJ a slam for a near fall as Paige just breaks it up. On the outside Paige slams Brie into the ring steps while back in the ring AJ applies another black widow to nikki and this time nikki is forced to tap out.

Winners: AJ Lee and Paige

#GiveDivasAChancd is still a thing right? Then why did they only get a few minutes as per usual with divas matches. All these four gals can work (sorry iwc but the bellas can sort of work, not very good admittedly but can work) but where not given the time they deserved. Overall does this mean a divas title run for AJ, I hope not, I dont need to see another AJ run with the belt by this point she's actually out grown it as a performer in my opinion.

WWE Us Title Match: Rusev (Champion)/with Lana Vs John Cena

Rusev was given a grand entrance to begin with and all I could think was Rocky 4 when drago comes out to face Apollo Creed and the look on his face said it all during that movie. Rusev looked less like a dear caught in the headlights here as he drove out on Russian tank as soliders lined up and down the Ramp way. John Cena got a less spectacular entrance and as this was Wrestlemania and fans all over the world attended the show meant the patriot 2.0 (John Cena) didn't get the warmest of reactions from the 79,000 plus in attendence. Early on Rusev is dominate of Cena with uppercuts and a wrist lock take down. Rusev and Cena exchange left and rights then Russia's number one wrestler Rusev goes for his flag but Cena cuts him off with a shoulder tackle and then a second. Rusev comes back with some kicks and punches to overwhelm Cena he then puts Cena into the corner and beats him down some more. Cena makes a comeback and gives Rusev a leg drop for a near fall. The two slug it out and Cena then applies an stfu to Rusev while Lana distracts the referee and Cena by throwing in her shoes into the ring. Cena does not let go of the hold but eventually Rusev reaches the ropes and Cena is forced to let go of the hold. Cena argues with the referee about Lana throwing her shoe into the ring as Rusev recovers. Rusev kicks Cena in the head and goes up top and drops a top rope headbutt to Cena. Rusev goes for the accolade but Cena rolls through to counter the hold. Cena goes for the attitude adjustment but Rusev blocks it and goes for a side slam but Cena counters that as well. Rusev kicks Cena in the face and applies the accolade but after a few minutes Cena powers out by getting up. Cena applies the Stfu but Rusev breaks hold as Lana pops up on the ring apron, Rusev charges Cena but Cena moves and Rusev nails Lana. Rusev turns around and walks into an attitude adjustment for the 1.2 and 3. Afterwards medical personal have to aide Lana into the back as she twisted her ankle and her charge Rusev refused to help her.

Winner: John Cena (New Us Champion)

Spoiler John Cena wins was all i took from this match but again I suppose RUSEV undefeated streak had to come to an end by a big star. It was usa vs Russia so of course the U.S. Of A was going to win because it was booked by an American. On another note I really hope this isn't the end of Lana and Rusev as I fill both need the other to make into the main event scene this year.

Stephanie McMahon and Triple H were in mid ring to announce tonights "official" attendence of 79,967. Stephanie was about to say this was all thanks to the wwe universe but Brillantly swerved turned and thanked herself and her husband for making wwe into a multi million dollar company that it is today. Hunter said we beat you all because we own all of this, we own you and those wrestlers in the back. Which brought out the people's champion the rock to a massive pop (there were reports earlier in the week saying the rock may show up and thankfully he did). The rock was fucking over here (sorry about the swear word but he was fucking over here) he took a long pause to soak in the cheers as Stephaine said ok you've all had your fun know let him speak (again masterful working of the crowd by stephanie here). The rock said they didn't own him or the people to which Stephaine said rock knows he would be nothing without the McMahons. She got hot and slapped the rock and told rock "go ahead, he'll never slap a women and told the rock to leave. Just as the rock went to leave he saw a familiar face (well the crowd were chanting her name as well) as UFC Bantamweight Womens Champion Rounda Rousey was sat front and centre (she's a huge wrestling fan and was recently at SummerSlam and PWG Black Cole Rising last year). Rousey jumped the rail and her and the rock went back into the ring and went face to face with the authority. Stephanie really put over Rousey credentials but then went total wrestling villian by saying Rousey may be the most dangerous unarmed women in the world and in a ufc ring but this was her ring, a wwe ring. Which of course didn't sit well with Rousey at all then the rock gave hunter a rock bottom as Stephaine got up into rouseys face. They milked the crowd to build to the eventual lock up and when they did the place went crazy as Rousey gave Stephaine some sort of armbar and gave hunter a take down Arm drag to end a crowd pleasing segment. I'm sure your agree wwe need to reach out to Rousey for a match at next years Maina, maybe this was the set up for a mixed tag between the four for wrestlemania 32. A really fun segment which I didn't expect to see at all and had me marking out and on the the edge of my seat throughout. Hopefully this is a set up for either a mixed tag or two singles matches for next years show.

Single's Match: The Undertaker Vs Bray Wyatt

Bray gets a big elaborate entrance with scarecrows he brings to life as he walks to the ring (it's as silly as it sounds). Bray is smiling as he sits and waits for taker in the ring then taker comes out and after all the smoke has clearer and the lights in the ring come up it shows Wyatt is no longer smiling. Early on Wyatt charges taker but gets caught with a big boot by the deadman. Taker gives Wyatt old school to show he's still got it, bray battles back with a shoulder block and a clothesline which sends taker to the outside. Taker lands on his feet and pulls bray to the outside. Taker gives Wyatt a leg drop as Wyatt Lays on the ring apron, taker rolls Wyatt back Into the ring and nails him with the snake eyes move. Bray battles back with a kick and pummels taker in the corner. Bray applies a half nelson and hits taker in the back of the head then taker breaks the hold and applies the hellsgate submission move. Bray breaks free and throws taker to the mat and drops a senton onto taker for a near fall. Bray calls for sister abagail and mocks takers throat cutting taunt, taker blocks sister abagail and nails bray with a chokeslam for a near fall. Taker then drills bray with a tombstone and covers bray but only gets a two count. Taker goes for another tombstone but bray counters with a sister abagail for a near fall. Bray is in shock and looking worried as well, bray does his spider walk but up pops taker who freaks bray out. The two men then slug it out in the middle of the ring, bray then goes for another sister abagail but taker counters it and gives bray a second tombstone for the 1,2 and 3.

Winner: The Undertaker

This was another very good match with an even better story, bray played it as if he was incredibly confident he could win this match in the build up. It raised dealt within the fans minds that taker wasn't the once great gunslinger he once was but as usual wwe did the norm and put taker over. In the build the LAW's John Pollack really had me sold on his idea that if taker lost here you would have the story line arc of the once great man who always won at mania going into his final match (that's if he retires next year like everyone seems to be saying will happen) on a losing streak and during his last match win. It sounded like a great idea and one wwe could have gone with but didn't but in front of this crowd I'm now thinking it was the right finish. If bray had won it really would have deflated this crowd and even the viewers at home, so in conclusion I'd say wwe made the right choice in putting over taker here.

Up next was the wwe world heavyweight title match and before the match a video package did a better job of building this fued than two months of tv could ever do.

MAIN EVENT
WWE World Heavyweight Title Match: Brock Lesnar (Champion)/with Paul Heyman Vs Roman Reigns

Lesnar rushes roman right at the bell but roman tries to fend him off with some strikes but brock gives roman a German suplex and a F5. "It's over" claimed Cole but brock doesn't go for the pin and just lands knee smashes to Roman but roman was shown smiling after absorbing all that punishment. Roman tries again in vain to battle back but Brock gives him another two German suplexes. Again brock lands some knees to Romans face and by now your thinking roman doesn't stand a chance but yet again he's shown smiling. Brock smiles and yells suplex City bitch as the overly animated paul Heyman counts along on the outside. Brock knees roman so hard he falls from the ring apron to the floor and into the barricade. The referee goes to count out roman but he just makes it back into the ring. Roman makes a comeback with a big knee of his own to brock and some quick strikes but Brock cuts off roman and clotheslines him back to the outside. On the floor brock nails roman with some more knee shots and rolls him into the ring. Another suplex by brock to roman but rather smartly roman rolls to the outside. Roman pulls himself up onto the ring apron but Brock belly to belly suplexes roman back into the ring the hard way. Brock gives Roman a second F5 and covers roman believing he has the win but somehow roman kicks out at two. Brock smirks and removes his MMA gloves, brock grabs roman by his hair and slaps him full force in the face over and over. Again Roman is smiling which only angers the champ, brock gives Roman another two German suplexes and a third F5. Yet again Roman kicks out at two, roman tosses reigns to the outside and tries to ram roman into the ring post but Roman counters it and sends brock head first into the ring post. Brock blades as blood flows from his head and now the champ is goggy. Back in the ring roman nails brock with two superman punches but Brock stays up with the aide of the ring ropes. Roman goes for a third superman punch but Lesnar side steps him and goes for a suplex but Roman counters it and nails brock with the third superman punch. Roman nails Brock with a spear and covers brock but only gets a two count, Roman goes for another spear but Brock side steps it and  drills roman with an F5. Brock bleeding and beaten is slow to cover roman but then Seth Rollins music hits. Seth storms out to the ring with his breifcase in hand when in the ring he informs the referee he is cashing in his MITB contract right now. Lillian Garcia then announces a triple threat match (it seems if wwe have changed the rules again without informing the viewer at home because never has a cash in been done in this way). Rollins tosses roman to the outside and gives Roman a curb stomp and goes for a second but Brock counters it with an f5 but Brock doesn't have time to nail his finisher as roman spears brock. Seth lands on his feet as brock rolls to the outside, back in the ring seth nails Roman with the curb stomp for the 1,2 and 3 and we have a new wwe champion as this crowd goes nuts.

Winner: Seth Rollins (New WWE World Heavyweight Champion)

Forget the convoluded cash in and judge this match for what it was and that was that it was great as story which had so many bumps in it and when they got there wwe had gotten themsevles out of a mess they created. In my opinion if roman had failed he would have become this generations Lex Luger and if he won he would have become this generations Diesel (Kevin Nash). So at least they sorted out the mess they had created with the roman reigns push into the main event. They also avoided pinning the beast brock Lesnar which will only keep him strong as he rides off into the sunset for his spring break. They've also created a new main eventer in seth Rollins and have set up 3 challengers for him with Orton, reigns and brock all in some way positioned for a match with rollins throughout the coming months.

WWE Raw 30.03.15

Brock Lesnar stormed to the ring to start the show along with Paul Heyman, Heyman said "Brock wanted his first match in raw in over ten years and it had to be a rematch against new wwe world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins. Stephanie came out and said the new wwe champion Seth Rollins was just flying back from an apperance on the today show in New York but once he was back he (Seth) would be more than happy to face Brock. Daniel Bryan beat Dolph Ziggler to retain the wwe intercontinental title, a very good match but just imagine if these two had a singles match at mania it would probably have been held up they in high regard (not quiet steamboat v savage levels but currently on the level of a Bret hart v Roddy piper). The crowd was super into this match (but the crowd for the raw after mania  is normally amazing) and for good reason. Bryan won a hard hitting contest after a sick looking headbutt spot and his running knee smash. Afterwards Bad News Barrett (who had been marking out on commentary throughout) attacked bryan but he was saved by the returning Sheamus who swerved turned and turned heel on both bryan and Ziggler by attacking them. The Lucha Dragons and New Day rolled over The Ascension and Cesaro&Tyson Kidd in a nothing eight men which was only highlighted by the debut of Kalisto who blew this crowd and myself away with his crisp spots throughout this match, now all that has to be said is best of luck to former Samuary Del SolBrock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins never happened as the champion said he had jet lag and a sore foot from curb stompin brock with at Maina. Obviously this didn't sit well with Brock who chased Rollins around ringside. In the end brock caught Seth but J&J security saved the wwe champions skin and he escaped to the back via the crowd. Brock hammered Mercury and Noble then tossed the announce table over. Then MIchael Cole was grabbed by the beast who drove Cole into the mat with a f5 (I guess that was for the years of bad announcing by Cole) as JBL and Booker were left out cold after the table landed on top of them. Brock's advocate paul Heyman begged for Brock to stop but didn't as he grabbed a cameraman. Stephanie McMahon came out and told Brock to stop he didn't and gave the poor cameraman a f5. Stephaine was pissed and told Brock he was suspended but the beast didn't care giving the cameraman a second f5 to cheers from the crowd. After the break Stephaine told renee Young she was also fining the beast because then maybe he would learn and toe the company line (not those exact words but that was what she was getting at). Damien Mizdow bested Stardust in a worthless match but at least Mizdow is still over that loss at Maina to big show has not harmed him one bit. Afterwards the Miz attacked Mizdow and nailed him with the skull crushing finale  and then told Mizdow "he had only brought this on himself". Neville toppled Curtis Axel in a quick match which showcased Neville incredible move set and has really established neville (he has also dropped his first name) as a can't miss prospect but then he really didn't beat anyone of note, sorry axel. John Cena downed Dean Ambrose in an open challenge to retain the wwe us title, oh boy by now this raw was really starting to grind my gears and yet again ambrose is on the losing side of things in wwe. Randy Orton interrupted Seth Rollins promo time with Renee Young which means these two will probably have some sort of rematch at either a raw in the coming weeks or at extreme rules PPV at the end of April. NaomiPaige and Aj Lee pinned Natayla and the Bella Twins in a useless long divas match which was overshadowed by sick and unessecary chants directed at all six women. Rusev Hammered Goldust in another crappy worthless match and there was no Lana at ringside with Rusev. Finally in a bland main event Roman Reigns, Ryback and Randy Orton defeated Kane, Big Show and Seth Rolins in a six man tag. After all the goodness of mania and the first hour and 15 minutes of this show the Finish to the mania weekend went out in a wimper. The finish saw rollins leapfrog a spear by reigns, then kane tried to chokeslam reigns he countred as Orton gave rollins a RKO. Meanwhile reigns gave kane a spear and covered him for the 1,2 and 3 to pick up the win for himself, Orton and ryback. On the wwe network following raw was a sting interview where he didn't exactly answer any questions at all as wwe had promised. In fact all that really happened was that the stinger was interrupted by Bo Dallas and this all lead to Bo taking a scorpion death drop.

Round Up and Rating

So with my expectations were so low (due to bad booking by wwe for the build of this show) going in, I guess that meant whatever wwe did I would enjoy this show. I would check this show out if you haven't seen it, check it out this show as it was very good for wwe standards and it couldn't have ended any better right? In the end I would give this PPV a 9 out of 10 it only lost a point with me due to vince McMahon petty obsession with proving wcw was a joke (sorry vince it wasn't ) and his brand was far more superior. As well as who went over in all these matches made little or no sense to me but the in ring action was at the best it ever will be in a wwe ring, so the in ring action is what made this show so enjoyable to me. My match of the night goes to Orton vs Rollins even if I didn't agree with who won the match, this made more sense come the end of the show and I guess performer of the night had to go to the man who walked out of WrestleMaina the new wwe world heavyweight champion seth Rollins. Thanks for reading my review and as always I will sign off with my bill apter quote I will see you at the matches.
